JEWELLERY THAT FEELS INSTINCTIVE
I create pieces for those who dress by instinct and don't necessarily follow rules. Designing for Vivienne Westwood encouraged me to break rules and be playful in my approach to life.
I feel that a lot of Vivienne's punk spirit is subtly evident in my designs. I often find myself asking, 'what would Vivienne do' when I'm looking for a little extra inspiration or direction.
The spirit of play runs through everything I create. Each piece begins with a feeling: it could be a lyric, a shape, or a symbol. I play with proportions, textures and themes until I find something that works aesthetically and resonates with the feeling I am trying to convey.
Someone once described my jewellery style as 'Fine jewellery with a Rock n Roll Edge' and I think that sums up my design aesthetic really nicely!
