Biography

Louise Wade jewellery designer profile pictureLouise was born and brought up in North London. In 1998 she successfully completed a BA Honours degree in Jewellery design at Middlesex University. She was tutored here by experienced artists such as Caroline Broadhead, Pierre Degen and Julia Westbury who encouraged a conceptual and innovatative approach to the use of materials in the design process.

Louise went on to rent a studio in Hatton Garden and take on private commissions whilst working as a freelance designer. She designed collections for various jewellery manufacturing houses including designing and producing a complete range of Jewellery for Agent Provocateur. Here she illustrated her natural ability to design pieces that sensually affect the wearer- in this case exciting and provoking ideas of sexuality.

In 2004 Louise was appointed jewellery designer at Vivienne Westwood. She spent four years working alongside Laurent Rivaud designing the seasonal selling collections and creating catwalk pieces for the Paris and Milan shows.

Summer 2008 saw the launch Louise Wade’s own jewellery label. Here she offers us the chance to share her celebration of femininity and enjoy timeless designs which come to life when worn, combining simplicity with sensuality.
